Ingredients:
- 1 cup fresh cherries (pitted)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp Alchemy Peppers Dark Cherry Reaper Hopp Sauce
- Honey
- 1 egg (white only)
- Pastry puff (thawed)
-Powered Sugar
Directions for the Cherry Preserves:
1. Pour pitted cherries into a sauce pan on medium heat 2. Add in sugar and stir until a jam like consistency forms
3. Transfer to a bowl and add 1 tsp Dark Cherry Hopp Sauce
Directions for the Pastry:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Unroll pastry puff sheets and use a rolling pin to make your desired pastry size, cut
3. Drizzle 2 tbsp honey onto one sheet of pastry puff
4. Add a spoonful of cherry preserves on top
5. Place puff pastry on top of the cherries and honey and use a fork to seal down the edges
6. Brush the puff pastry with egg wash
7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown
8. Mix remaining cherry reserves with powdered sugar until desired thickness for frosting
9. Drip frosting over top of cooled pop tart
10. Enjoy!
